The weather in Norway can change quickly, so it’s important to be prepared with the right clothing and gear. Below you’ll find what we require you to bring, along with recommended and optional items that can make your hike more enjoyable.

Hiking shoes/ |
We can accept other types of shoes, such as sneakers, but preferably with a good sole. |

Jacket |
Helly tech/Gore-Tex or similar is good in Norwegian climate. The jacket should be waterproof, preferably with a hood. |

Pants |
Comfortable and protected all day. Hiking pants are recommended, but comfortable sweatpants/joggers will do. |
|
Backpack |
Daypack for holding warm layers, food, snacks, water and needed items. It should be 20-40 liters |
|
Food & water |
Bring your own lunch. We recommended a minimum of 1L. There are no shops/ mountain huts for provision |

Sun hat or 1 warm hat, depending on the weather that day. |

A layer to protect your neck or face. |

Chocolate, nuts or energy bars etc.. |

Hygiene products |
Such as antibac, wet wipes, toilet paper etc. If you have a bathroom emergency while hiking. We use “pack it in pack it out” ethics, so you will need to carry out your used items and throw them away later. There are no bathrooms in the hiking area. |
