Frank took us cross country skiing and taught us the basics (as we had never been before!)- we had such a fantastic day! There was not good snow in Bergen... read more so Frank took us to another location about an hour away which was great as we got to see a bit more of Norway and we were so lucky to find snow and have a really fun day. Really recommend if you want to try cross country skiing as Frank will take you to the best places and is a great instructor! You can find pictures on the Instagram account for NMG if you want to see videos / pictures of the day 🙂 We actually loved Bergen and the activities Norway Mountain Guides offers so much this is our second visit- we came this time last year and did snow shoeing which was so fun we decided to come back!

Unforgettable experience!! - We absolutely loved every second of our winter mountain snowshoe hike adventure. Our guide Ole was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable, very patient and a lot of fun. He... read more insured that we were comfortable the entire time and also allowed us a lot of freedom on the hike. He was also very interesting and great to talk to. The experience run smoothly from starts finish – from pick up in Bergen city centre to collection of the gear to the hike itself. We were very lucky with the weather – it was a lovely day with blue skies, and the hike was extremely picturesque. However, I think we would have enjoyed the experience regardless because of our amazing guide. All in all, it was a perfect hike with great weather and a new friend in Ole.
The hike was approximately 10 km round-trip with some significant elevation – however, I have full confidence that the guide would have tailored this to our fitness levels.
I will not only be recommending this experience to my friends – but I will be returning myself for more in the future.
